Ambassador Usman Sarki is the Grand Patron of the International Peace Commission (IPC) Africa. A Board member of IPC Nigeria & Former United Nations representative to Nigeria.
Ambassador Usman Sarki will be highly honoured and awarded at the Global Impact Leadership Symposium, Peace & SDG Agenda 2030 Awards hosted by Arise O Nigeria in Collaboration with the International Peace Commission scheduled on the 17th of October, 2019 to commemorate the United Nations day for Poverty Eradication..
Joseph Cheayan is Secretary General of the Mandela Washington Fellows-Liberia and Senior Programme Officer of the Institute for Research & Democratic Development (IREDD). He is the founder and Board Chair of the Institute for Democratic Governance & Development (IDEGD). He is a development Policy Researcher and has worked extensively as researcher and educator on Governance and Social Policy and Reproductive Health reform. He is campaigner of the ICPD beyond2014 Campaign and Women’s rights advocate. He holds BA Degree in Sociology from the African Methodist Episcopal University (A.M.E.U) in Monrovia, Liberia and Candidate of Bachelor of Arts Degree in Criminal Justice at the African Methodist Episcopal Zion University in Liberia. Joseph holds Post Graduate Certificate in Human rights and Drug Policy from the University Ghana School of Law, Advanced Certificate in transformative Leadership and Development planning from Development Education Network-Liberia (DEN-L in Liberia. Additionally, He holds Certificate in Public Sector Management from Ghana Institute of Public Administration (GIMPA) and Advanced Certificate in Aid & Budget Analysis from Integrity Action Summer School in Nairobi, Kenya. He has Represented Liberia at many International Youth and civil Society Conferences including the Global Youth Forum held in Bali, Indonesia, Special Youth Representative of Liberia on the Global Youth Roundtable with HLP Members of UN in Liberia on the post2015 consultation, the African Youth Conference on Development & ICPD review held in Addis-Ababa-Ethiopia, Pan African Youth Leadership Summit on Post2014 held in Dakar, Senegal, World Humanitarian Summit held in Istanbul, Turkey, The Model United Nations Conference held in Kiev, Ukraine, etc. Joseph had served as youth consultant for the Liberian Youth common position on Post2015 consultation held in the fifteen counties of Liberia. He is former Member of the UNFPA youth Advisory Group on ICPD Review and 2015 Mandela fellow of African Young Leaders Initiative (YALI)- United States Government flagship program for young African Leaders. He is also 2016 Millennium Campus Fellow of the Millennium Campus Fellowship USA.
